We would like to invite you to the Copenhagen Saunagus Experience 2026! At just 23 minutes away from Copenhagen Airport, it is a great way to end your early arrival day before heading back to Malmø.

Saunagus is a ritual that involves pouring water mixed with essential oils onto the hot stones of the Finnish sauna stove, after which the Gusmester directs the hot, scented steam towards the bathers using rhythmical movements of a towel, accompanied by music.
How exactly does Saunagus work?
How exactly does Saunagus work?
With Saunagus you get a different sauna experience. Saunagus typically consist of 3-4 rounds of sessions that last between 10-12 minutes during which time a sauna master will pour essential oils (mixed in water or on ice balls) over the sauna's hot stones and then wave a towel in the air to distribute the steaming hot steam in the room.
Typically, an event will be have short breaks, where it is possible to cool down, chill and get some water and snacks.

We have decided to collaborate with Winter Island (Green Island during summer), a floating venue that holds multiple saunas, bars and a restaurant right in the heart of Copenhagen. Winter Island is located next to Copenhagen Central Station, making it an excellent location to go to and from Malmø by train.
The premises

Winter Island offers a 30-people and four 10-people saunas that can be privately booked. In addition to that, their excellent restaurant & bar offers anything from cocktails and lemonade to pizzas and sandwiches.
We have booked the 30-people sauna and a gus master for an hour-long relaxing experience. In addition to that, there will be free snacks and lemonade in between sessions to share among us!
